I'm Sophie and have had the privilege of capturing families for over seven years. I absolutely love my job and feel honoured each time I am asked to photograph a family.
Every family is unique and so each session is tailored and tweaked to suit you. My approach is very relaxed and I work with you to get the best images, that help to show the wonderful story of your Family.
I'm passionate about supporting local businesses too and in particular "mumtrepreneurs". Product photography gives me some calmness and balances out the high energy my family sessions create. For different reasons, I love both types of photography and feel incredibly lucky that I get to do such a variety.
After finishing university, and before venturing out into the professional world of photography, I worked in Marketing. I had a great Job and learnt a huge amount; working across TV, Print, Radio and online.
My passion for photography was always there though. At weekends I'd be capturing everything and anything, friends and family knew they could rely on my camera and me for all our events (they still do!). It also gave me the perfect excuse not to be in the photos. YES, I don't like having my photo taken. In fact, these images were a real struggle for me to take! So believe me when I say "I know how you feel" when you walk into a session.
Then, in 2012, I started the best job in the world and became a Mummy (and again in 2015). I knew I didn't want to go back to an office job and so spent a few years doing courses and practising, practising, practising with my camera.
Finally, in 2017, I took the plunge and launched my first ever Christmas Mini sessions and honestly have never looked back. Each year my minis have grown and they are still my favourite sessions to do, the excitement, energy and seeing clients at the same time every year make them incredibly special.
When I'm not photographing I can be found in the gym, crafting, shopping (of course) and volunteering on the PA at my children's school. I love catching up with family and friends, am a terrible cook (or rather, I lack inspiration when it comes to cooking) and my favourite place to be is at home with my husband, children and Molly, the dog x
